Android Question

Hi,
I have an s2 phone. I have a problem that I have been dealing with for seven months now. One of my relatives is spying on my phone. Every little detail. I encrypted my phone. But still it didn't work. She got the phone number from the websites I visited.
I live far from my family, and I use apps like what's ap, viber, and my Facebook from my phone. It became so annoying that even the phone messages she reads.
I wanna buy a new phone, but am afraid it's gonna be in vain. I will encrypte it. Do system updates.
What else I must do so I stop that sick b. from spying on my phone.
And if I go to the police will they do something about it?
Please, please answer my question.

She can't spy on your phone unless she had physical access to it to install software or unless she emailed software that you then installed.

How are you so sure she's reading your messages or that she didn't just get your phone number from another friend or relative?

Factory reset the phone if you think it has spyware (really unlikely) on it.
This will wipe EVERYTHING on the internal user storage though so back up everything you can to the memory card or a PC first ;thumbsupdroid:

She already knows my phone number.
Regarding spying on my phone. I read that in order to spy on viber, and such apps. All she needs is the device number. Each phone has a specific number. If you go to settings, about device. There's a number that when ever I visit websites that number is collected by those websites.
I also read that in order to protect the phone from spying I need to do system update. Os updates. But my phone is the older version. It keeps saying no framware.

Even if websites collect a device ID number, say, such as the IMEI number, they're not gonna just pass out the number to anyone who asks. Even if somehow, someway she got your device ID number, what could she do with it?

If no Android OS update is available, no worries. Your device is still secure.

How is she reading my phone messages, and my viber, and everything else?
If there is any spy apps on my phone, how can I delete them?

If they have your Gmail login credentials, they could have masqueraded as you in the Play Store to get app access.

Visit the Play Store from a desktop browser, go to the upper right corner, the gear icon - settings.

Look for a phone that's not yours.

If there is one, same gear, Android device manager - wipe their phone.

Then, change your password to Gmail right away along with your other app passwords.

And set your Gmail password validation to your phone number.

And do as funky says.

Welcome to the forums!
