Help SSW 3 Need help

I'm a very inexperienced user, got a SSW 3 as a gift and can't get it to connect with my Samsung S4 phone.

1, Install Android Wear on the S4
2. Perform a reset on the SW3 (Settings/Factory Reset)
3. When SW3 restarts and prompts, open Wear app on phone and follow the instructions.
