Hi i just installed a proxy on my own server.
I connected to it with the standard proxy settings on my android (v4.3, CyanogenMod, GT-I9300). It worked fine that way.

But now i want to add an ssl encryption. The server seems fine but i cant get my phone to use ssl (https) as well. I always get an error "... Reason: You're speaking plain HTTP to an SSL-enabled server port. ..."

Do i have to use a 3rd party app? Or is this how proxys work?

Cheers,
Shylux

https:// tells the browser to speak SSL. The error you're getting indicates that it's not a port problem - you are getting to port 443. Evidently your browser doesn't speak SSL, even when you tell it to (by giving it the https protocol). Try a different browser.

You can reach the server using SSL with a different computer, right? (If not, I'd suspect an incorrect server configuration.)
