Standby Widget

I have searched for everything that I can think of both here and on the market and haven't run across anything yet. Maybe somebody here can help. I'm looking for a widget that you tap to put the phone into standby. I work with instrumentation in my job and one of the quickest things to fail is a physical switch. If I had a widget to place the phone into standby, I wouldn't have to press the power button but about half the number of times. Has anyone seen such?
