Stanley Cup Playoffs

Anyone else here paying attention to the playoffs? Who you all rooting for? are you in the CBC fantasy pool?

Personally, I'm rooting for the Vancouver Canucks, like I do every year, to little avail.
 
It's been amazing how many games have been great this first round!

Unfortunately for me, I'm a Leafs fan, so I've got no real rooting interest, though maybe that makes the games more enjoyable (rather than watching my boys lose haha).

The wife is a Wings fan though, so at least there's one winner in the house haha!

Do you miss Raycroft? he's been doing okay in Vancouver (although he doesn't get much ice time thanks to lou), but from what I hear he didn't have many good games in Toronto
 
I think he got a bad rap in Toronto. Raycroft played ok, but I mean the team around him was brutal. I always felt like he needed a fresh start somewhere else - the fans in Toronto are getting restless from being shit for so long, and he took the brunt of our anger, mostly unfairly.
 
I think we're finally on the right track, with a good young core.

That being said, I still think they're 2 years away from the playoffs.

Speaking of which, Detroit is thumping Phoenix bad lol
 
Shit, thats not good, my co-workers and I are all in the CBC Playoff pool, and I was in the lead with 2 points but my manager has some Detroit players on his picks so he could still make a come back. Pheonix will bring it back in the clutch!
 
Detroit just owned Phoenix tonight.. but sadly I don't think they don't have what it takes this year. (and I'm from Detroit) They've been playing hit or miss pretty badly. I would like to see them win it, but realistically they need to step it up a few notches, consistently.
 
I'm always for the Thrashers, but since they couldn't pull it together this year....again:mad:...I am rooting for the Capitals or any team that is playing against the Penguins. :D:p

Thought the Canucks/Kings first round series was great.
 
I'm on the Detroit bandwagon since the Rangers can't beat Brian ****ing Boucher in the last game of the season. **** you Jokinen!

I just hope somebody beats the Pens.

More than anything the brat like attitude that they have when they are playing makes me mad. I think Crosby and Avery (I know he isn't a Pen anymore) are tied for my least liked players of all time. I actually saved the last game of the season for the Thrashers this year just so I could watch Evander Kane knocking Matt Cooke out over and over again. :D

Sorry, not trying to turn this into a bash the Penguins thread.

That was the highlight of the season! Nobody deserved it more than Cooke this year - good to see the young guy put him in his place.
 
On a different note... anyone else see that goal the Coyotes scored last night against the Red Wings!?!
