Works great on my LG Optimus V, thanks! I did have to fiddle with the image slightly because the bottom text was displayed too low and the slider went over it. I just moved the icon and text up a few pixels, probably about 20, and everything looks great now. :)

Thanks again, any news on the Desktop Visualiser LCARS homescreen?
 
Don't really know much about Android themes etc. but is it possible to add a sound effect to the lock slide? if someone could get the Star Trek door sound on that then dude they really would be my hero.

"5. Star Trek Unlock - this is the MP3 unlock sound. Put this in the [Notifications] folder on the phone memory."

I did offer an unlock sound in my LCARS Lockscreen package. If you want to use another sound, however, feel free.

FYI: in case your question is to apply an immediate action that would sound as you slide... no, there is no way to do that with WidgetLocker (that I'm aware of). The only option is to set an unlock sound in WidgetLocker's settings, which has a delay and only sounds after the unlock has happened.
 
I love the lockscreen and it works great. I did however change the colors to match the wallpaper i made that was inspired by a post on XDA.

The lockscreen works great on the SE X10. I only had to put some space above and under the image because of the larger screensize ;)

Can't wait for the theme. I'm using LCARS Live Wallpaper for Android devices atm but am curious.

PS. I dropped the arrowhead to unlock. Just the bottom bar.
 
I just picked up an Acer A500 Tab and think I want to convert it into a PADD. I'll start by trying to figure out this lock screen stuff. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Edit: Well, got the lock screen working great on my Tab. Err... PADD. Looks great. Just had to adjust the size of the wallpaper and use a larger widget for the date/time/battery. All in all, it's great. I threw on a random wallpaper for my homescreen, but I'm not at all happy with that part yet.

Got it. I'll resume working on it after I catch up on other stuff.

I think I may be able to make it easier using ADW's/LauncherPro's overlapping widgets feature.

Will post when it's done.
 
I just came across this thread after searching for LCARS stuff for Android. Any updates on anything going on with this? The only LCARS stuff I found in the market is a theme for SMS and Contacts. I was hoping for a full Home theme and maybe icons and wallpapers. Thanks.

I do apologize, but my plan to finish this "theme" for my Incredible never happened. I liked my Android7 Theme too much.

I do, however, am seriously thinking about working on the LCARS theme for my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7. LCARS just seems to make more sense on a tablet.

Here's the thing, though: it's not an easily executable theme. It's all Desktop Visualizer widgets with images specifically sized for the individual device. It's a fair amount of work to set it up, and I will probably only create the icons for the Galaxy Tab 7. I will post it when (and if) I get it done.
 
this was the first thing I searched for on my android phone, my research told me there was one but it was pulled for copyright. So you may have to spread it thru non-official channels

Well, considering it will be free of charge and just a bunch of basic shape images for Desktop Visualizer widgets... I'm not really worried about legal issues.
 
How was this not the first theme ever made?


Tech guys + touchscreen phone =star trek fantasy.

Heck, the voice command wake up on my galaxy note is "hello computer!"

Look at System Panel (app) for readout inspiration. It's not star trek but it's the same graphical simplicity. I liked the lock screen in this thread but don't think it needed so many letters or so big.
It's 2012, have we don't it yet?
