Help Static during calls

During phone calls the first few minutes are fine, but after a couple the person on the other end gets loud screaches, laser noises, static and evenutally drop offs.

At first this only occured when I had incoming calls, but now its both and consistent. Verizon told me that this was my sim card and replace it. Im now on my 3rd sim card with the same problems.

So do I keep getting bad sims, or is it my phone. Have any of you experienced this?

I have the exact same problem, but haven't tried switching sim cards. I won't deal with it much longer if I can't find a solution.

I also have this problem that you all are describing. Incoming calls would sometimes come in with horrible static on my Galaxy Nexus. I'm on Verizon Wireless. This has happened probably 3 or 4 times since I've gotten my phone. Once it does happen, it's persistent with every call, incoming or outgoing, until I do a hard reboot on the phone. After a hard reboot and a few minutes of idle time, the phone will be normal again.

This has certainly gotten me a bit upset about the phone. I just got in March. So with the static on calls and the rather short battery life, (I'm using the extended 2100mAh battery from Samsung) I'm contemplating on replacing this phone. This kinda sucks because I really do enjoy everything else about it but these two flaws are hard to overlook.

Has anyone found out if there's a solution to the static on calls with the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon Wireless? If that problem can be solved, I won't feel too compelled to replace the phone. Thanks for any feedback.

my nexus started out all good and dandy then recently say the last week and a half ive been having bad call quality as in the other person cant hear me or hears that static/noise/etc as you describe. i just flashed the new radios so im hoping that helps but looking at the signal strengths it not helping too much tho...smh
