When my Droid X is connected to the car dock, the dock is connected to the car's power, and the Droid is connected to the car's speaker, I sometimes (though not always) get a lot of static.
If I don't use the car's speaker but use headphones or the Droid's internal speaker, no problem. If I don't connect the car's power, no problem. It is only when both are connected that the problem occurs.
This could be a problem with the car, with a wire, or with the Droid. Before I start changing things at random, I'm hoping someone with more technical experience might suggest my best approach.
