Help status bar

Hi guys, is there a way to change the transparent status bar on home screen so I can see it.

Welcome to the forum

I don't know about the S5's Touchwiz launcher, but many alternative launchers (e.g. Nova, Apex) have transparent status bar as optional.

Or you could use a wallpaper which is dark at the top, I guess.

Thanks for your reply, do you know if I can change the colour of the symbols instead as that would work
