Steaming media to TV

I have an S3 myself but I recently got an S3 Mini for my mom. My parents also own a Samsung TV and my mom wants to steam music from the phone. However, I was surprised to learn that the mini had no Samsung Link app on it and that the Samsung Smart View (an app for controlling the TV) was completely different. I was wondering why this is.

I'm still able to stream media to the TV using the media player app so clearly it's technically possible so why the change? I don't really have a problem per se since I'm satisfied with streaming through the media player but I am curious as to the reason.

I know it is but it is not available for the S3 Mini. When I click on your link with my mom's google account (I don't have her phone) it says the app is not compatible with my (her) device. I know that it's available for the S3 as I have been using it on my own phone. My question is why isn't it available for the Mini when the Mini is clearly capable of streaming media (e.g. through the media player).

I've just got the phone and found the same issue.
You don't actually need the allshare app, it's built into the video and music apps. you can play video or music to the tv via a small icon on the top right of the screen (looks like a tv with an arrow) this activates the allshare system and will stream to the tv.

Easy,
Marcel
