Steve Ballmer: "You don't have to be a computer scientist to use a Windows Phone..."

When i hear Ballmer: I see a person in his swivel chair spinning around chanting; 'developers yeah developers yeah developers'. Then the phone rings, secretary says there is an incoming call, the reply is 'no, I still want to stay out-of-touch today, hold all calls again. Spinning resumes ....weeeeeeeeeeeee.

I didn't realise there were so many other computer scientists. I didn't realise that my friends who are a building manager, marketing rep, and Starbucks worker are all computer scientists. They never mentioned that to me. I feel so out of touch. :p

Don't be cynical. The message here is that Android comes with a free computer science degree. Probably from MIT.

I guess he was mad that geico took the its so easy a caveman can do it.

I must say must thank him for calling me smart. So I guess I made the right choice in choosing android.

I guess winphones are the new dumbphones?

So he's saying that even dumb people can use a Windows Phone, but only smart people can use Android? Then wouldn't that make people want Android so they look smart, instead of some inbred hillbilly who's parent/cousins bought him a new Windows phone?

....says the man that needs Android to make money for them because their own OS has been so far an abysmal failure. You'd think he'd want more people to adopt Android so he can sit around and make easy money.

If he were smarter, I'd say he'd did exactly that - feign that stupidity to drive more to our fold.

The thing with good salesmen is that they can and often do sell themselves more on their stuff than they do their customers.

SB is just trying to convince shareholders that he's making bold moves to support his platform.

I guess.

I mean what else could it possibly be?

Ok, so there's that - but what can Ballmer possibly be thinkin?

Yeah, he's another one difficult to replace. The money people are willing to face the murmuring (ok, screaming) crowds wanting him to leave, at least for now (probably while they look around ;)).

Nice article, but let's have that disclaimer,

The truth is that no one makes the perfect smart phone and consumers shift back and forth all the time.

Meanwhile - Android continues to grow. Must be doing something right.

What about the fact that, thanks to all the "techies" helping out all us "noobies" on forums like these Android is a great beginners education in itself. I know I never thought I'de even learn how to turn one of these marvels of modern technology on.
