Help Still have crazy bad GPS problems.

I have had my captivate on 2.1, 2.2, 2.2.1 and serendipity 6.3 with a modified kernel and my GPS is still terrible, even out in the open street it won't route me accurately at all. Does anyone have this same issue? Is there a fix?


My captivate is a build 1102,

Just bought a brand new Captivate, and now learning about these GPS issues.

Currently, its GPS is showing like, 1KM accuracy and puts me in the center of a lake.

Just keep exchanging them with AT&T until you get one that works. My 3rd one is fine. The GPS is incredible. Almost as good as my BlackBerry Bold.

I just have up on the gps. Waiting to get a new phone now

There's a reason AT&T, Best Buy etc stop listing "GPS" as a feature on the Captivate...

I just got a build 1010 phone in and am still playing with it, but my initial feelings are that the GPS is better (although still not as good as it should be).
