Root Still No Root?

In the link that ends with "unlock", when translated, it seems once you click agree, you enter your phone's info and I believe they will somehow unlock your phone's bootloader.

The Mate 2 is in there, but I think it's the Chinese variant since its model number is "MT2-C00". I think all US variants are called the "MT2-L03".

yep in the chinese ones the model says mt2-C00 variant :/

and when you click english then the mt2-l03 variant doesnt appear yet. :@

Do they have an "other" option. HTC does this on their website. Some phones are listed, but if yours is not then you would just select "other" and go from there.

All the phones on that site are the Chinese variants. And being that the site itself is entirely in Chinese, this makes sense.

By the way Modding, I don't mean to bug you, but is there nothing else you can do? It seems you're the only developer that has an interest in this.
I don't have my computer with me. The zip needs to be resigned. The link I provided gives some insight on how to sign. Without proper signing the recovery will ignore the update.zip. In addition, your bootloader is locked and that too may or may not cause additional restrictions (varies amongst different devices). So for now, I can only recommend resigning the zip (trial and error of course).

With that said, been occupied the last few days trying to get a toolchain to work properly from my phone. Hasn't been fun at all lol.

Ah, I see. Not trying to rush you, just wondering.

I guess maybe I'll take a look at the zip stuff sometime and dive in this whole new world.
