As far as I know I use the stock Android Messaging app and it's been working fine.
I don't know if it's a coincidence, but I updated the '3' app (my mobile network), restarted my mobile and noticed in notifications it was showing two text messages.
I tapped to read them but it only showed one of them: texts that I receive from my bank, the other one was from a friend which has lots of texts over the years, but that has completely disappeared.
I don't know why this has happened, but is there a way of getting this one back?
I've had a look at all the text threads and it looks like everything else is there.
I do have 'Avast! Mobile backup' and had a look at what it has saved, but it seems to have saved individual texts, and looks like I will have to go through all the texts.
I thought it would have shown all the threads and I could pick the thread I wanted to replace it that way?
