Stock Calendar App - Display events in monthly view?

With the stock calendar app, is there a way to get events to display on the monthly view? Right now it just has colored lines representing an event, but doesn't actually display what the even is unless you select it.

As an alternative, I'm currently using the Business Calendar app. It does show the events on the monthly view, but I'd rather use the stock app.

The stock calendar app lacks that particular functionality. It is a pretty basic app. I use the stock calendar app too. I would also like to see the functionality you are referring too. If I come across a widget or App that accomplishes it to my satisfaction I will come back to this thread and update. An App, of course, would be a replacement for the stock calendar, and would have to sync with Google calendar.

Thanks. Like I said, I'm using Business Calender right now and it DOES have this functionality. I'd just like the stock one to as well. I like how the stock Android apps play together.

I too use Business Calendar and find it ideal for me. I was wondering what bits of "playing together" that BC doesn't do that the stock calendar does ...??
