stock camera or market alternative?

i've been search for a definitive answer to this but can't find one.

the stock camera app is great but the file size of the images taken are low (i've un-ticked widescreen in settings) . i've downloaded other camera apps (ICS Camera & IGCamera) and the images sizes are much bigger.

my question is:

is everyone finding the stock camera best or do you prefer an alternative?

I've always found the stock camera great, none of the alternatives cut it for me and the camera is the only thing I miss when running an AOSP ROM.

JB Camera+ is slightly better than a lot of alternatives, but still nothing compared to the Sense camera.

Are you rooted? There's a mod on XDA which allows you to take uncompressed pictures for maximum quality.

Stock camera is good for me but sometimes it just constantly focuses.

I've just been using the stock camera too but I also find that it does this.
