Root [STOCK CWM-BACKUP/ODIN] Returning to Stock 2.3.4

These files has been removed so I simply uploading them again. I take no credit for them. If anyone needs detailed instructions, id be happy to oblige. just comment ;)

FIRST AND FOREMOST, YOU MUST HAVE CWM INSTALLED ON YOUR PHONE, IF YOU DONT THEN PLEASE PROCEED HERE: http://androidforums.com/admire-all...-recovery-not-compatible-rom-manager-yet.html

RETURNING TO STOCK THRU BACKUP:
Stock Admire 2.3.4.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
this is backup is actually provided by me from a stock 2.3.4 admire that my friend lent me in order to root his admire and add beats. it is unrooted and full bloat.
you need CWM 5.0.2.7
1. download either file and unzip them
2. put the folder you get into your sd card in the pathname clockworkmod/backup
3. boot into CWM by pressing POWER+VOL DOWN+BACK
4. use the volume keys to move down to backup and restore
5. use the home key to press okay, then select restore and select the folder.
6. wait for the restore to finish.
7. then do a factory reset(optional but recommended)

clockworkmod recovery backup for samsung admire eh02.rar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download this back up has some of the bloatware missing.
you need CWM 5.0.2.7

if i ever learn how to make update scripts ill make a flashable zip for these as the md5mismatch can sometimes comes from downloads. i myself never had one when downloading a backup but im just informing people

RETURNING TO STOCK THRU ODIN: (does not require CWM)
Odin+OPS.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
Odin + the OPS file need to make Odin work.

SCHR720_EH02_Prerooted-PDA.tar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
the prerooted tar file. this will put you back to stock with working data and you will be rooted. just install superuser from the app store

SCHR720_EH02_PDA.tar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
this will set you back to stock without data or network, this means not texting or calling. this issue can be fixed its very problematic, it is highly recommended to use the prerooted tar file over this one.

SCHR720_EH02_Phone.tar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
this is tar will set back your radio to the EH02 one. i think it also changes the baseband to that not sure. THIS TAR IS ONLY NEEDED IF ONE DID THE ORIGINAL 2.3.6 UPDATE THAT CAUSED HAVOC ON MANY ADMIRES. IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE OFFICIAL UPDATE FOR METRO THAT WAS RELEASED RECENTLY.

On Odin you click the OPS button and put in the OPS file that came in with Odin. then select the PDA button and put in the PDA/tar file of your desire. put your phone in download mode and connect it to the computer then hit start. and wait for it to finish

hello gentlemen i have been helping my friend root his samsung admire we have already gotten root achieved and it is now easy for us but we decided to flash a custom rom i do not remember which rom it was but now we are at an impass because the phone is stuck at the boot screen we have tried numerous times to utilize the cwm backup method listed here to no avail it says every time that the system can not be mounted so i tried doing an advanced mount still everything but the system mounts i have already tried another download still no system mount he has a windows 7 64 bit desktop now i know on my phone this matters but am not sure whether this comes into play here we have tried another return to stock method which was the stock rom mount but stil md5 sums always mismatch so my main question is have i royally ****** up my friends phone or is there a viable solution thank you for your time

you shouldnt have to mount anything. i assume you are talking about the "E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/...
if you have CWM just connect your phone to your computer thru cwm. go to mounts and storage, mount usb storage and take one of the backups, id recommend the 2 one as it is less likely to get a mismatch even thoug ha few apps are missing. find the file for clockwordmod/backup and put the file which should be a title by the date sorta like this: 2012-07-17.20.46.30 once that is in there you go back to the cwm homescreen and go to backup and restore and then select restore. you then find the file and select it.

these backups only work with CWM 5.0.2.7. if you have 5.0.2.8 you have to get sue's flashable zip or use odin to put it back on

you always just use odin to return to stock
 
I used odin and hte stock sch-r720 pre-rooted ROM on my samsung admire. I'm getting alot of buzzing going on. Is there anything that might mellow that buzzing out ?
 
Ok well i did update to 2.3.6 so can i use the Odin 2.3.4 pre-rooted file or do i have to use the 2.3.6 file?

There is no 2.3.6 file. I don't see why you would wanna go back to stock 2.3.4 but yeah you can still use the 2.3.4 pre-rooted. Or it would be easier to do it the cwm way
 
Well then i think i read the last download file description wrong SCHR720_EH02_Phone.tar. It says that this tar is only needed if one did the original 2.3.6 update. Which i did so i wanted to know if it is a better choice or whats the difference between the others

You're still reading it wrong. That phone.tar is only if you did the generic update that was available a while back. Not the update from the samsung website. Also he basically tells what each one is for.
 
Thanks yo! This helped out a lot. Both of my phones are so far from stock that neither of the system.rars would work for what i am trying to do. TY!

i'm not able to download the stock admire zip file from 4shared all i get is a false promise that i can download the file by installing citrio browser what kinda sh*t is this?
