I had to back up and do a Factory (not Hard) Reset on my unrooted 4.4.2 Galaxy Note 2 on Sprint in hopes of fixing some progressively worsening Bluetooth problems. I applied all updates, refreshed the PRL and Settings.
Since then:
The stock dialer app will let me receive calls. I can place and receive calls when linked to my car's audio via Bluetooth.
But, I cannot dial out using the stock dialer on the phone per se. I enter numbers and press the phone icon and nothing happens.
I used Settings to stop the stock dialer, cleared its cache, and deleted its settings. Doesn't fix the dial-out problem.
I downloaded a third party dialer and it lets me dial out so it is clearly some glitch with the builtin software. I'd prefer to stick with the stock dialer if possible as I don't need yet-another app on the phone.
Any ideas? Is the Stock Dialer's APK available somewhere? I found some for 4.4.3 but since that's not my current rev, I don't know whether I should risk it.
