Probably not news to most people but I was just poking around in the hidden menus I found that you can edit pretty much everything on this phone without any need for your MSL. Easiest way is to download a shortcut app - I've been using Shortcut Master Lite from the Play Store as suggested by Volted in the tethering thread.
To edit your APNs - search for "apn" and choose "com.lge.hiddenmenu.vzw_only.ApnSettings". No idea why the Verizon menu is the one that works, but there you go.
To edit the ##3282# DATA menu - search for "spec.data". The first result - "com.lge.SprintHiddenMenu.sprintspec.Data" is exactly what launches when you dial ##3282#, but right below that you'll see all the choices on that menu broken out, "DataProfileView" "DataProfileEdit" etc etc. For some reason "DataProfileEdit" just reboots my phone immediately (can anybody doing this with their MSL say whether that's normal?) but all the other edits work fine and do not ask for MSL.
Tons more, I'm sure.
