Root Stock Email App

now that im rooted, is there anyway to use the stock email from another phone? The stock app on the Spectrum doesnt have all the nessacary fields to set up my work pop3 account. I am using k-9, but am not happy with it. K-9 does not like to send out emails with pictures attached. I have never had this problem with the stock app on my ally, or my spectrum using my hotmail account on the stock app..... any ideas?

Yea, it's definitely not the Google stock app. Is your work account an MS Exchange server? If so, you can use that set up method.

You shouldn't have a problem installing another email app like CM7's stock or AOSP stock. At worst, it won't open, but it won't screw up the OS.

no it is not a MS Exchange, actually tried that too. How would i go about installing to like the Ally app?

You could try Google for 'ally email apk' and see what comes up, if that's the specific one you're interested in. But, I'm not convinced a device-specific app like that will work on the Spectrum; you'll probably get a package signing error. It would be better to get the AOSP app or one from CM7.
