Stock ICS Mms.apk

Would anyone happen to have a working stock ICS Mms.apk that works on the Motion. I came across this one ...

MetroPCS MMSFIX for CM7/9 (Maybe CM10) - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

Both MMS & SMS work fine ... but after a reboot the app will FC & needs to be re installed to function again, which becomes a tad frustrating after awhile .. haha

I tried a couple from the market but can only use SMS successfully, not MMS. These are the ones ...

I just prefer the look of the ICS messaging app, rather than the stock one on the Motion. The ICS one is a lot cleaner looking IMO.

So if anyone can me out I'd really appreciate it! :)

Ok, so the reason why the MMS.apk in my first link didn't seem to work properly was because I had disabled the stock LGUSMms.apk. I had disabled it because I thought it would interfere with the ICS messaging app, turns out that it didn't ... haha, So after enabling it again everything seems to work ok.

But I did notice that using the MMS.apk from that link made my network provider show up as Unknown rather than MetroPCS. So I ended up tweaking the contents of a stock ICS MMS.apk with info from the other apk's xml file. And that seemed to have corrected that issue.

I've uploaded the apk & odex files that I have on my phone. I'm not sure if the odex is needed but it was there from a previous install & everything seems to work so I didn't mess with it ... ha

So just move both the apk & odex files to the /system/app directory on the Motion (You have to be Rooted to do this) using Root Explorer (or your favorite File Manager) & make sure to set the permissions to rw-r--r-- ... then reboot & enjoy.

On reboot you'll notice that your messaging icon will now be the stock Green one rather than the yellow one.

Hope that helps!
