Stock JB Build FK09

For anyone that is interested, came across a leaked stock JB FK09 build that runs like butter. It has stock recovery, and is designed for sprint (so there's sprint bloat on it as opposed to boost), but is rooted so you can just TiBu all your apps. Installation is easy, just d/l the appropriate file, double click to extract, then run the one-click. Reboot to download mode, then connect the phone to the pc, then hit start on the one-click and you should be all set.

I can also confirm that for anyone interested in JB but not wanting to switch because the 4g speeds get borked on a custom kernel, 4g speeds are NOT throttled on this build. I get 8mbps down on this rom, which makes sense because the kernel is stock.

ETA: I will say some people have reported a call muting bug where either they cannot hear the other person or the other person cannot hear them. I have not had this issue personally.

The only issue I have found is that when I made a phone call the screen would go black and I'd have to do a battery pull to reset it. I figured out this was because there's an issue in the ROM with contact pictures. To fix, just disable syncing of contacts with your Google account and d/l Contact Picture Remover from the play store, and then you should be all set (minus contact pictures).

Have you had a chance to try it?

I have, it's running on my phone right now. I haven't found any issues, and it runs smoothly, only thing I wish was out is cwm or other recovery, so as I can use other stuff such as add a boot animation I ahve saved, or other tweaks. Guess I'll have to wait for now.

I put back stock w/roor and think I deleted a needed app and/or file and not sure what it is so maybe someone can assist me. I can't get 3g at all, but if i switch to 4g data is fine. What did I screw up, and canit be fixed without an odin flash or via the phone?

You can try doing a factory reset, another method is to re-provision your wireless via help from boost automated system (fairly easy to do). If all else fails you can just odin back to original stock and let phone update then re root.

Yeah I did the odin thing. I'm a diehard I guess, I keep wanting JB to work but to no avail. I just cannot get gps working no matter what I do.

I may just go to fk9 and just deal with it. The gps seems to work well and just the mute bug I'm not sure if that would annoy me or not. Wish there was a way to set the screen to never go to sleep. I think I remember seeing that in one version back awhile ago, but it seems it's gone now. even the ics rom has 30 mins, why are they changing it shorter and shorter? quite irritating

I love the FK09 build. Barry ous way better than cm10. When I was on cm10 I would unplug ashen going to bed wake up with 80% left. On the knew build I would loose only like 4% over night verses losing 20% or more on cm10. Bettery reminds me of the prevail.

Yeah I love fk09m too, but the mute bug is just to annoying. If I'm on an important call for more than 10 mins, I gotta wake the screen in 10 min intervals, and if I forget I may miss something important. Thats just to annoying for my taste is all. Everything else seems to work FANTASTIC!

I don't know the exact name of it yet as I haven't installed it yet. but it should be in the /system/media folder and be a simmilar name most likely using sprint or logo in the name.

I read if ya turn off the proximity sensor it helps with the mute bug.

Setting the screen to not go off during a phone call is spose to help to. I'm just gonna wait, because I have been reading more on the fk09 bugs over at xda, and there are more than just the mute bug, some are having issues with play store and install, and uninstall of things, and such, so I'm going to hold off. For now it's stock+root for me, everything just well.....it just works.
