I had to delete and re-add my email accounts on my Samsung Galaxy Note II's stock email client due to a configuration change at the mail server.
I use IMAP and I _thought_ that in the past the client had synched and pulled all of my emails and folders. There are >5000 messages on the IMAP server's Inbox.
When I added this account again, I find that the client only pulls ~1000 messages. I tried deleting and adding the account a couple of times but the limit persists. Additionally, it picks a different set of messages each time. The gaps occur in different places. No messages before 2012 will load.
Is there a message limit on the stock client that I had overlooked or could this be due to some other reason? I have configured the client to retrieve all messages and tried over WiFi to a fast internet connection to ensure it wasn't a data rate bottleneck. I had also marked all of the messages as unread on the folder using a PC mail program.
I have used other email clients in the past but actually like this stock client so I hope there is a solution.
Phone: Android 4.1.2 3.0.31 on Sprint's network, not rooted.
Thanks
