Help Stock Music Player Issues

Since upgrading to Kit Kat last Monday, I have noticed on the stock music player I do have the "L or "M" listed on the side to search for songs/albums/artist by those letters. The songs are there if you scroll, you just cant jump to those letters. I also cant seem to download songs from my computer Windows media player to the phone anymore. Its crazy.. I can get songs from Amazon on the phone but not from Amazon to the computer to the phone. I played with everything I can think of for close to 2 hours on Saturday with no luck.. anyone have any ideas?

Issues after a system update are not uncommon. The logical solution is to do a full factory reset.

Thanks... Other than doing total reset which I really am trying to avoid.. any other suggestions?
