Root Stock Recovery

Assuming someone is running the same carrier, Android version 5.1.1, zv5, and same model number, their backup of the stock recovery should also work on my handset?
Am I correct in this? Id rather not brick my phone when i thought I'd found the solution. Yes, the bootloader is locked, but with stock reco, i should have no issues?

As long as everything is identical, it should be no problem.
