Stock S3 charger no longer charges.

One day it worked, next day it didn't. Phone was at about 50% when I plugged it in last night. made the little beep and said charging. Also the red indicator light was on stating that the phone is charging but not full. Also the battery symbol has the lightning bolt in it as if it is charging. All seemed well. When I woke up this morning, the light was still red, not green like it should be. And my battery was at 14%. So while plugged in to the wall and charging all night the phone discharges. There are no super draining apps running and when I use a kindle charger the phone charges normally. Anyone else have their charger take a crap on them only a few months after getting the phone?

I doubt its pandemic. Just a bum charger. I can not believe the charger/battery problems suffered on s2,s3,s4 and to some extent HTC ones. Just only use OEM replacements to be safe

I would check both ends of the usb cord, to ensure they are snug. I had a previous charger that was loose and had similar issues. Try another charger with the same amperage and see if it works.

Yeah try another charger. The s3 kernel has some kind of system that detects if it thinks a charger is dodgy and throttles the charge current. Imo its too sensitive but there we go. The irony is that samsung chargers are shockingly crap.
If youre buying a charger, make sure its at least 1000mA/1A
