Stock Video Player version 1.1

When I attempt to play a video mp4 from either my USB storage sdcard0 or externalsdcard it frequently stutters and occasionally freezes and often a reboot is required.

Any reason why this is happening? I have cleared data on the player but that hasn't helped.

I have tried the mxplayer and it did the very same albeit not happening as often
 
Will try it. By the way I hit subscribe after I posted that last reply but didn't get an email when you replied, are the subscriptions working on the forum app?
 
Tried that player but the videos played out of sync and the resolution was bad, no settings to rectify that so just uninstalled it.

The two options I have when playing a video are the stock player and the other is called photos, it appears to play in a different player when I choose the photos option according to the play status bar at the bottom of the player as it looks different from the stock player.

Why would something called photos play video files I ask?
 
Which version number was that v player u gave a link for?

Also could that bad resolution from using that app you first gave a link for cause issues with my hardware?
 
Also please read the whatsnew for that player codec as it mentions that the codec isn't required since player version 1.4.2, and the current v player is 3.5.2, so surely this wouldn't be needed.

Also I imagine that the codec can and should only be installed when the v player is already installed on the phone?
 
That's why I said sorry I had a alarm and had to get off fast. But I had the problems with my lg esteem . and I used the vlc and the vint one and the vlc beta was the best cause it had many settings to control the play modes
