Help Stock weather widget doesn't auto-refresh

Hello,

I realized recently that the stock weather widget on the SGS2 does not auto-refresh sometimes although it is set to do so every "3 Hours". The widget update is not completely disabled, it auto updates randomly, at 5 Hours, 6 Hours etc.

I removed all my cities and added them again, the updates worked for a day, then again, the widget started updating randomly and not every 3 hours.

I removed JuiceDefender and Advanced Task Killer, the problem still exists.

Please help!

I have noticed this too. I think sync has to be on as well as the widget set to auto-update.

However sometimes mine wont update. - When I first got the phone it took me 2 days to realise the weather was stuck on the same day :o

The autosync is on but the weather still doesn't update every 3 hours. Pretty annoying and I can't find a way around it, yet.

have you got background data enabled? not sure if that makes a difference, but i have both autosync and backgrond data enabled and it updates every 12 hours.

Yes, both options are ticked. Is there an option to change the frequency of the autosync or are you talking about the weather update frequency (12 hours)?

I mean the weather updated frequency. Don't think there is anything else that can be checked to be honest.

Quick google...some people are saying that if you remove the widget and then put it back on it sorts out the problem, or reboot, or cold-boot(?).

tried that, also tried removing all cities then adding them back again, used one city (current location) and did a reboot a couple of times. What's a cold boot?
