Stock ZV4 update question

Has anyone with a stock LG Volt done the update to ZV4?

Do you lose root? If so, can you get it back with towelroot?

Are there any reception improvements (says there's radio firmware update)?

Towelroot is broken on update. There is a prerooted ROM on here that you can use to update.

Reception, battery life, and RAM usage are all significantly improved.

Is there a way to just stop the update message from coming up. I am rooted and I do plan on using the prerooted ROM later, but I don't have time right now and would just like to get rid of the message.

I also would like to find a way to disable the system update notification. I have recently bought my volt 2 weeks ago, and now I have sense rooted and don't wanna loose it. I hope somebody out there know how to disable it.

I have searched on google and most articles say to disable the SystemUpdateService in Google Services Framework, however, it's already disabled :/

I just figured this out myself-

1. Log into phone with "adb shell"
2. "su" for root
3. cd /cache
4. look for file that somethingsomethingzv4_update.zip
5. move that file elsewhere outside of cache
6. go to notification bar, check apply update, then cancel it
7. notification is now gone

I also found that you can simply hide the notification my taping and holding on it, then click disable notifications or something to that effect, which comes up. From that it will take you into the settings app where you can uncheck Show Notifications. This will hide any notification sent from the Google Play Services app including the update messages. Only downside to this is that if anything else uses this to show notifications, you won't get them.

So far, it only seems to affect the update messages which is good.
