Help Stop a download

I have a LG-P970 (running 2.2) and 3 days ago it said there was a system upgrade available. It has now been downloading for 3 days! Presumably something is wrong. Can I stop the download. Stopping the Download Manager and turning off and on didn't seem to work.

Hi Harrowman, welcome to Android Forums. I am sure someone will respond with an answer for you that may help. Sorry to hear whats going on . Are you able to turn the phone off and then back on? (if so, you are saying the download resumes?)
