Help Stop android turning off when face down

Hi all, I have the new Note 3 on T-Mobile and a few days ago something led me to set a setting which, when I place the phone face down, it turns off after three seconds (using the proximity sensor). I am now finding it turns off willy nilly at it's own convenience and apparently on a whim and this drives me mad but now I can't for the life of me find the setting to make it stop doing that. Can anyone please point me to the place in Android 4.3 on a Note 3 where I might shut this bugger off?
