Does anyone know how to stop bluetooth speaker's volume control from adjusting androids bluetooth volume? They seem to both be linked, so you press the Vol + on the bluetooth speaker, and it increases it's own volume, plus also increases the phones bluetooth volume one notch. So the jumps are too big.
The result is poor volume granularity so it goes from silent, to quiet, to too loud in 3 button presses!
There used to be an option to stop android responding to bluetooth volume signaling (the speaker does it itself anyway), and so you can adjust the volume separately on the speaker and phone. But in the process of having my Nexus 5x replaced I can't find it anymore, and google is no help.
