I'm pretty sure this is with all androids, some supposed feature which bugs me like no other.
When holding backspace to delete text, it deletes the first 5-10 chars like you would expect and then starts deleting large blocks of chars for every single delete tick. For example, I want to delete the last 2 words I typed and instead it deletes my entire sentence plus some before I can stop it. Another example, my workaround, I need to delete 8 chars, full stop, delete 8 more, full stop, delete 5 more, or its going to make me re type what I wanted to remain as it always starts jumping at the worst time.
I want this jumping completely gone, I would love if the backspace just worked exactly like a computer. Computers delete one letter, then delete one letter at a time, quickly, until you release. I'm very good at deleting exactly what I want in the minimal time using the regular computer method.
Thank you so much if you can help me!
PS: Various language and input settings did not remove this jumping.
