stop calendar displaying facebook birthdays?

hello :) i've had the desire for a few weeks now and i love it very much. also you guys are fantastic, so willing to help, it makes me smile to see the kindness of strangers :)

anyhow, back o the topic - well it's all in the title really. I like that the calendar can sync with facebook, but i want to be able to see my calendar without it clogging up EVERY SINGLE DAY with someone's birthday who, most of the time, i don't even care about. is there any way to take the birthdays away from the calendar? then i could actually discern important events that i manually input into the calendar haha. thankyou if anybody knows :) x

The question is "Why do you have friends on facebook that you don't care about?" (for their birthdays I mean) :)

On the other hand I' am not using HTC Sense ROM and I'm looking for a way using my Google Calendar to show me the birthdays of my friends in facbook. It was before Christmas that Google stopped integration with facebook events in general. :( so I suppose not supported anynmore

I too didn't want facebook birthdays to show up in my calender, it really does clog it up too much. When someone holds a birthday party, they will make an event for it, so in any case I will only want to see facebook events on the calender. And I've found a way!

First and foremost, you need to use google.calender and go to facebook and get the Facebook app called "calenderp".

All you need to do with that is sync it with your google account. From now on every event you are either "attending" or "maybe attending" will show up in your google.calender (as a separate calender, those you can name and choose a colour for), and FB birthdays will also show up, but in a separate calender, so you can uncheck those, if you don't want 'em.

Then just add the calender on your phone, through the original calender app, and sync with your google.calender every time you have stuff on your google.calender you want to have on your phone.
