How to stop internet service in Samsung Galaxy-3 GT-I5801

Turn off wifi and turn off mobile data. You can do both from the system settings, though I'd expect there to be toggles in the notification area to do these things too (at least WiFi, but most manufacturers would include a data toggle too).
