Dang I just knew you were going to say DDG. Like Google,DDG another I prefer Not to use. Even though Amazon not as bad as Google is, still prefer not just Handing over my personal info. Since posting this request, I tried over 15 different "Private" browsers, dozens of "ad blocking"browsers on top of prior browsers.couple of ad blockers (blockade,Ad blocker+) so far nothing worth noting really works against redirects. Curiously I went with the redirects just see results.197 redirects in a row. Probably been more but a sister found out I was using Her phone for this and took it back. and damn you talk about being mad.. what? You didn't actually think I would risk MY PHONE did you?? Seriously?!!
Notice how I used the words 'SEARCH ENGINE' and not 'APP'?
I do not use DDG browser or app.
I use DDG search engine on a browser of my choice.
The browser is my choice in browser because I have yet to have any other demonstrate such speed, security, and customization.
I also already told you that ad-blockers are virtually useless against redirects.
That is why redirects exist.
The only way I have found to get rid of the majority is to block the IP of the redirect and/or use a browser that is fast enough and allows you to be fast enough to go around or get behind the redirect.
Also, these bastard redirects can even be hidden in your browser cookies, and so they can even follow you from site to site and reappear over and over.
Also, do not discount what I said about how some sites use the best thumbnails to get clicks on them- and there (disappointingly) is no video or gallery even linked at all- only more redirects, full page popups, etc.
This is all part of the game.
You CAN choose to avoid sites that do such things, as there are plenty that do not.
A thing you may want to try is a VPN.
A decent one will mask your location, so you can at least avoid local advertising and redirects.
