Stop Redirects, Possible??

Hopefully no one faints from my question here. Is it possible to stop redirects on adult sites? (I know everyone is is a good Christian and Never visites those sites) Well, I'm not and I (we) do. Basically when you start a a video sometimes it redirects you to another adult website and on and on. Using Brave browser with active ad blocker. Also used Icecat browser and have adguard installed. Any suggestions for this??

sounds like the adblock is not working for those browsers. firefox's ABP(ad block plus) works really well. i also have that extension on my chrome browser and never had any issues with popups.

Hey thanks for the reply and sorry answer so late, but chemo won't wait. Now ABP?? Straight up I know even Less about add-ons then I do about computers, and that's about how to turn on or off. GNU icecat is about as close to Mozilla as I want to get. Same as Brave browser to chrome.Had blockade but it was blocking everything. So any more on the ABP item would be great. Thanks

Like you, I NEVER visit those type of sites.

They are just plain nasty, nasty, nast...mmmm, where was I?

Oh yeah, the redirects.

They are not popups, and not ads, so ad-blockers are basically a bust.
(And not a nice one.)

So, what I do is use a browser that allows long press to open new tabs.

The video will open, but in a new tab.

Then, if I get a frustrating redirect, I just clear that tab and I am returned to the video to try again.

Sometimes I am convinced that the best looking thumbnails are actually not real video links at all.

Another thing with varying degrees of success is using the log in NoRoot Firewall to block the IP of these redirects.

This worked better in the past.
Now it seems that there could be 50-100 (I never counted) different possible redirects from a single thumbnail for a video.

Just as infuriating is when you click on a thumbnail, and it opens another page of thumbnails.
And again, and again, and aga....

Yeah, after a while, I just give up on sites like that.
Life is miserable enough without someone making THAT miserable too.

One thing that seems to really help is to enter what you want into your search bar, and then select images.

Usually these are legitimate links that can go directly to pictures, galleries, and videos.

Personally, I find that the DuckDuckGo search engine is set up the best for this kind of search.

Tap an image, and it will fill the screen.
Then if you like, the link is in the lower left.

Dang I just knew you were going to say DDG. Like Google,DDG another I prefer Not to use. Even though Amazon not as bad as Google is, still prefer not just Handing over my personal info. Since posting this request, I tried over 15 different "Private" browsers, dozens of "ad blocking"browsers on top of prior browsers.couple of ad blockers (blockade,Ad blocker+) so far nothing worth noting really works against redirects. Curiously I went with the redirects just see results.197 redirects in a row. Probably been more but a sister found out I was using Her phone for this and took it back. and damn you talk about being mad.. what? You didn't actually think I would risk MY PHONE did you?? Seriously?!!

Notice how I used the words 'SEARCH ENGINE' and not 'APP'?

I do not use DDG browser or app.
I use DDG search engine on a browser of my choice.

The browser is my choice in browser because I have yet to have any other demonstrate such speed, security, and customization.

I also already told you that ad-blockers are virtually useless against redirects.
That is why redirects exist.

The only way I have found to get rid of the majority is to block the IP of the redirect and/or use a browser that is fast enough and allows you to be fast enough to go around or get behind the redirect.

Also, these bastard redirects can even be hidden in your browser cookies, and so they can even follow you from site to site and reappear over and over.

Also, do not discount what I said about how some sites use the best thumbnails to get clicks on them- and there (disappointingly) is no video or gallery even linked at all- only more redirects, full page popups, etc.

This is all part of the game.
You CAN choose to avoid sites that do such things, as there are plenty that do not.

A thing you may want to try is a VPN.
A decent one will mask your location, so you can at least avoid local advertising and redirects.
