Help Storage Gone??

So I had went to use PowerAmp to listen to music but it said there were no music files, so I did full rescan, and nothing. Upon going to the file explorer (I use Es File Explorer) it said there was nothing in /sd card (my phone has no sd card but android stores files there. I have the Motorola Droid Ultra (XT1080)

Will do, I will be home in 2 hours, I cannot have my phone out in school due to classmates posting stuff at school on social media, tsk tsk society getting worse and worse

Sorry got caught up in work and what not, Storage reports 1.44GB available out of 16GB. I had installed an app, cant remember the name that shortly after resulted in screen occasionally blacking, so I deleted it. The file explorer now reports there are files but they cannot be opened and music app still reports no files even after scan and full rescan

It sounds like the file system may be corrupt, in which case the best solution is to factory reset the device.
