Help storage help?

card16969

Newbie
Ok so when i first got my bionic i could access all the folders of the phone through usb and could easily remove photos etc, now i can only access the dcim of the external card. When i save photos from my texts or emails it stores them internal even though i have it set to store things externally. Im tired of having to go in and move all the files individually from where they are to the external on the phone. Is there any way to access them when it is hooked up through usb to my windows 7 laptop? When i go to my computer when the phone is connected through usb and set to mass storage all i get is my external storage folder.

Did you try ...

If you are connected to a Windows 7 machine and only the SD-Ext card is visible as a drive ...

With the Droid still connected by USB cable to Windows 7 ...
Power Off and then Power On the Droid.

After the Droid is fully loaded the SD-Ext card will be listed on Windows 7 (not shared)
in about 12 seconds the SD card will be listed (shared).

... if you did and it didn't work then I am out of ideas.

I've done this. Doesn't help.

Are you rooted with a custom rom? I had this issue and I fixed it thru CWM. For some reason SDCard wasn't mounted. So I went into CWM and mounted SDCard and bam I was able to access the internal and external memory.

If you have CWM:
Mounts and Storage. If you see Mount SDCard then click on it. It should read Unmount SDCard which means it should have mounted the SDCard. I just confirmed this with my phone and it's unmounted since I have installed a new rom. I use Win7 on my laptop at home too.

Just tried it on my work computer (WinXP) and both locations showed up after mounting the sdcard. And yes it takes a few seconds for the 2nd (internal memory) to show up.

I was confused. There is a new person with the same problem.

Are you using the USB cable that came with your Bionic?
Have you connected to other USB devices with your Windows 7?
Is the SD card Mounted in your Bionic?
Do you see any devices whrn you connect?
