storage icon on camera

does anyone here know whether the storage icon shown on camera can be removed? it appeared after i accidentally deleted a shortcut...it wasn't there before this..so i thought maybe there is a way to remove the icon..thanks in advance! :)

I've never edited any shortcuts and that icon appears for me as an indicator of where pictures are being stored.

I had never noticed it until you mentioned it so maybe it was not your editing of shortcuts but a firmware update that added the indicator (or it has always been there and you have only just noticed).

Saying that, mine appears on the right not left so maybe there is a level of configurability that I have not been able to find.
