Storage question

Is the Razr/Maxx hd storage used as a giant space for storing whatever or is it partitioned for certain things. Like apps=6GB storage =6GB data=6GB? If I get the Maxx I want all 20 something GB to use as I see fit.

Also when using a storage card can you set downloads and pictures to automatically go the sdcard-ext? I hated manually moving things.

First off welcome to the forums Donebrasko!

Now unfortunately, i highly doubt that the space will be prepartitioned, it will probably just be 16GB for whatever you want to put on it.

If you Root the device you will be able to choose whatever you want to go to the SD card, you are somewhat limited when the device is locked.

Not sure about the rest but within the camera settings you can set the pictures to go to your sd card.

When I go into Apps I show 3.7 GB used and 22 GB free. So the entire amount is available to the user (well, 25 gigs it looks like).

I was worried about this as well as I had some issues with the regular Maxx, but the HD doesn't partition it so far as I can tell.

Yeah the Maxx drove me crazy with that storage crap. Just give me my 27gb and let me do what i want with it. I was worried about storage battery life and screen quality. Is this screen at least better than the sgs3 screen? I am stuck on htc screen but i have come to the realization that the Maxx will not look that good.

I can't say against the SIII as I haven't seen one in person. But I would say identify your number 1 concern and choose the phone that satisfies it. For me, battery is first and foremost mine. So even if sgs3 is a better screen, I don't care. I also don't like Touchwhiz AND felt burned by the Fascinate a couple of years back. So no Samsungs for me.
