Help Storage space

Quick one here..

For the life of me I cannot remember how much actual usable space the N6 (64gb) has out of the box. Can someone please enlighten me?:p

I seem to be having an odd moment. My phone reported via a Nova widget/os stats and Solid Explorer that I had 59gb usable of my 64Gb. They are all now saying I have 54gb total usable.. something is amiss here.

54GB should be the right number.

The total storage amount is always a small percentage less then the stated amount after formatting. So a 64GB phone will have around 59-60GB of total usable storage, then subtract 3-7GB for the Android OS partition and you're left with the amount of space available to the user.

I actually ran out space on my Nexus 6 About a month ago or so, I had gotten some message informing me I had less than 1 GB of remaining storage availability, then one day I went to download , upload or install something and this message popped informing I didn't have enough space, I had to transfer alot of photos and videos to the cloud.

Last week I had problems were my phone kept freezing up, slowing down and powering off. This week it froze up for around ten minutes when I was able to power it off, it wouldn't power back on for five or ten minutes. I have been going through and uninstalling apps, deleting photos. Even though I really don't want to I know here eventually I will have to factory reset and start fresh
