I imagine this problem has come up before, but please forgive me for not wading through hundreds of posts trying to find it.
My phone is the Samsung Galaxy Cooper. I have a 16 gig SD card. The problem is when I try to download new apps, they won't download directly into the SD card. I end up with an error message saying there is insufficient space on the phone. The last thing I want to do is uninstall apps to make room for new ones when I've got 16 gigs of available storage space.
When I do actually succeed in downloading an app, I almost always end up with a message telling me I'm nearly out of storage space on the phone. That leaves me with little choice but to uninstall the new app.
Just why Samsung designed the phone so that it can't handle more than 2 gigs of apps goes beyond me. I have two questions:
1. Is there some way of forcing downloads to go directly to my SD card?
2. If I decide to buy a new phone, does Samsung make one that has an option to download and install directly to the SD card rather than the phone? If there is one, please make a recommendation so I'll know which one to buy rather than spending hundreds of dollars to buy a new phone and wind up pulling my hair out in frustration by encountering the same problem.
