My wife has the Fascinate. She really likes the phone, but here lately she has been complaining of really poor battery life. I haven't really been paying attention to it until this morning she brought it to me and I was amazed at how fast it was draining. It went from fully charged to 20 percent in 57 minutes and that was while the phone was idle.
I checked the battery/status/use and it shows that "Media" has used over 60 percent of the battery since last charged. I click on it and low and behold, it is a system app so it can't be stopped or removed. She doesn't have any "Media" playing.
I have checked through the forums for a similar problem, but I am unable to find any clear answers as to what could be causing this.
I am either going to just take this thing back to Verizon and demand a replacement or I am going to Root it and put CM7 on it. An hour of battery life is not going to cut it with any device.
Anyone have any ideas before I take either of those plunges?
