Strange Battery Readings

Hey guys, so I was using my phone (Midnight JB ROM 1.2) and I decided to run Triangle away. I ran it, downloaded the package it needed, rebooted, reset my counter. and rebooted my phone. Before my phone reboot it was at 40%

When it came back up, the battery was at 8%!!

So I shut it off for a minute or 2, and turned it back on and the battery was at 21%!

What the heck! I saw that triangle away had to flash the kernel, could this have to do with the detected battery life?

Ive turned it back off and will power it back up soon to see what it says. The battery usage graph shows the strange behavior, how do I take a screenshot with Midnight ROM?

I dont get it... Is it supposed to make a sound or effect or something? I just get taken to my home screen/recent apps. Sorry if I'm just dumb..

power and home button at the same time, takes a few times to get it but it works, hold for a sec or two,you will hear the camera sound.

Ahh I finally got it. I guess I wasn't holding them down
Long enough. I don't have the battery graph to show the strange readings anymore as i had to charge it last night.

So strange how I mysteriously lost a net of 20% battery life.

Do people here bother to calibrate their batteries? I've read info on both sides of thr argument and i'd like to imagine that by now it shouldn't even by necessary as android and batteries both have improved

It's quite common for battery readings to fluctuate greatly after a reboot, they are, have always been and probably always be approximations, not an exact science down to the last mv.
