Help strange black crack marks on S3

Newbie
Since when I first got my S3 I've noticed these strange black thunder looking marks under my screen from the very bottom and along the sides, not in the middle or top though. Heres the messed up part... you can only see these cracks with the screen on, and it has to be pitch black dark in your room. The only time I see it is when I'm loading an app or loading a game and the phone is on but the app is loading so its a black screen with a bit of lighting. This hasn't affected my phone at all, however I'm curious if anyone else reported this? It's hard to explain must be seen in person...

It appears to look like ink spots that are only visible in the dark

Any way you can take a picture of your phone and post it? Without seeing it, it's hard to say what this might be.

Ink marks? Those are not "ink marks". That's a very well known issue with OLED screens called the mura effect and every screen has it to a certain to degree. It all has to do with how the pixels are printed. As of now, there is no perfect process to eliminate this issue and considering it is only visible in extreme dark environments, it really isn't a issue at all.

I hate to break the news, but you will never get a "perfect" OLED display. They do not exist and technologies are still being researched to try to improve the well known faults that exist today. As of right now though, there is no perfect way to get the same amount of voltage to go to each pixel. It will vary because of the boards being used to print the pixels on. Just relax and enjoy your new phone.

This is very interesting. We learn something new every day.
