STRANGE DOWNLOAD IMAGE

Yesterday I downloaded an image from Google Images. When I enter in the photo gallery to find it a strange thing happens:According to the phone, I didn't download the image yesterday, but in 2017! (In fact to find It I had to go to the end of the photo gallery). Today I tried again to download it and I downloaded it "today",no problem.
What's happened ?

Probably a meta date
 
The strange thing is that in the photo gallery the file is saved in 2017 but if I try to attach it (for example,sending it via email) and I open download folder,it is saved in the correct date (yesterday).there is a wrong date only in the photo gallery
 
Did you initially begin using Google Images in 2017? The metadata Trom refers to is more of a data dump file and not an image, per se. Not sure why it would appear as an image file, but it sounds like a data history file that was initially created in 2017... and when you accessed it yesterday, it correctly updated its date to the last date recorded. Just a guess, as I'm not there to see what you are looking at.

A couple of months ago, I needed a photo of the Bellevue skyline for a project, and searched Google images. There were lots of photos, many of them the same picture from different sources, which means the metadata, or lack of it, is going to differ from pic to pic, perhaps this happened to you, you downloaded a photo with a date in the metadata, and then you downloaded the same pic from a different source containing no metadata.

You're just misunderstanding what's happening. :)

Your gallery app--which simply displays images, not physically stores them anywhere--is apparently using the image's date from its metadata to sort it, while when you view your download folder--which is a physical place--it shows the date you downloaded it.

Gallery apps seem to cause a lot of confusion! Just keep in mind that they're simply organizing and displaying images, not storing them in physical locations. You can always verify an image's actual, physical location by using a file manager.

Your gallery app may have options controlling how it sorts images; if 'use the image's metadata' is one of them, uncheck it! That should solve the problem.

Because it's the first time I notice it,and it seemed very strange to me,and I don't want to share something unwittingly.

You can't unwittingly share stuff. You have to choose to share a file, and then you must pick a recipient. A picture is just another file, your phone stores it in a directory and doesn't care what's in it, and as MB's said, the file's time stamp and metadata "time taken" are two different things.

Ok. So,there was simply a change in the date,other than that,did I just download the file, right?
Wasn't there, say, any kind of anomaly?

There wasn't a change in anything.

Your car has a license plate and a VIN. They're different numbers describing the same thing. Your license plate number might change now and then (file timestamp), but the VIN will always remain the same (date photo taken in metadata, if the metadata is intact.)

No, there's no anomaly here. Nor is there the slightest possibility that choosing to download an image could accidentally share something with someone else. Let's see if this brief tutorial on metadata helps you understand what happened. :)

This is a picture I took in my backyard :

...and here is its metadata; take special note of its various 'date' fields:

As you can see, I took the photo on 06/10/14. However, if you download it now, its date in your filesystem will be 08/16/20. In your gallery app--depending on how it's determining its date--it may file it under 2014 or 2020. This is not odd, weird, unusual or cause for alarm!

As I said earlier, if your gallery app has a setting for which date it should use [date taken vs date downloaded], change it and your problem will be solved. If it doesn't, and you strongly dislike the way it's doing it, get a different gallery app! :D

So don't I have to worry about ? Was it a simple download like many others ?
