Earlier this year, I transferred files from my old phone to my computer. Some of the files have this name: ___.gif.trigger.

I tried opening the files w/IrfanView, Paint, Notepad, Word, an internet browser; I even removed the .trigger from the name; but nothing I've tried will open these files. Does anyone know what these are & how I open them?

It looks like they were image files. Is that correct?

The first thing I'd check is their file size. It's possible that these were partial or failed transfers, and actually have a 0 byte size. Please report back on their sizes; if they're 0, you're done. :( If they're not 0, we may have other ideas.
