Sony Xperia Z1 (C6903) running stock LP 5.0.2 rooted
I was running a modified stock ROM until yesterday as I was having problem after problem with it and thought perhaps it was just all the mods conflicting with one and other so I thought just go back to stock and add on what I want.
So I flashed rootable Kit-Kat using Flashtool, rooted, recovery etc and then flashed unmodified stock rooted Lollipop. Seemed OK at first. I don't think there was the locking/unlocking issue at first. Anyway, I downloaded all my apps / Xposed modules and then realised after a while I couldn't unlock my phone, but was registering when I held the button down as if I was going to power off (felt the vibration but still couldn't see anything). Anyway, after about 10 minutes of pressing the unlock/power button, giving up and sulking, the screen will usually eventually wake up. Now the strange bit. This only happens if I lock it with the power button. If I leave it time out and lock the screen itself if will wake straight up!
I was worried it would be something I installed or a bad install so I tried wiping cache/davlik, dirty flashing the same ROM back (which wiped the Xposed flash but not the apk) and booting in safe mode all same problem. I assume after the dirty flash that would be the same as disabling xposed/modules in it? I changed the size of icons and how many apps either side of the app button on home screen using Xposed and after flashing the icons were back big but in the dock they were going off edge of screen etc so I'm not sure.
Any ideas if you think maybe this is a problem with the phone somewhere, I haven't really had much luck with this phone. Also maybe worth mentioning that when indoors (on old ROM and this new one I think) I can't see the screen at all when outside in sun, even with brightness turned up. But inside its never clearer, which is making me worry maybe it's a fault with the phone, could be unrelated but...
