Strange minor issue with the default text app

Not a big deal, but I've been having this issue where text message threads will just show the persons phone number instead of their name even if they are in my contacts. When I open up the conversation thread it then shows their name, it just doesn't show in the list of conversations, if that makes sense.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I had a similar issue with the contact picture not showing up. I had to delete the contact then remake it then the picture shows up now.

Thanks, I was able to fix it as well, it's just nice to know that it's not just me.
