Root Strange or Mysterious Draw Feature

Greetings forum, and thank you to all the contributors that continue to work on refining this phone.

Now for my post:
Every once in a while a function comes up that I've seen in Pandora, on my lock screen and a couple other apps I can't remember specifically. The function is the same regardless of the app. It is a bar at the top of the phone with a pencil, erasure, the picture gallery icon and a couple blank spots I think. If you touch the screen anywhere while it's activated it draws w/ a red pencil line on the screen. I don't know how this "draw" function is activated as it has mysteriously appeared on my phone several times now. Likewise, I don't know if there is any benefit to it.

Has anyone else had a similar experience or know more about this feature?

TIA for any supportive feedback or clarification in resolving this mystery for me

It's called quickmemo its a way to take a screenshot and be able to draw whatever you want, you can even switch to a blank yellow memo paper to draw or write on.

It is activated either by pulling down the statusbar and hit quickmemo or you can hold down both volume buttons at the same time. It is a pretty cool feature if you look at a lot of the pictures of the lg motion in promotions or accessory pics on ebay or amazon you will notice there is a drawing on the screen, that is it. Hope this helped.

Sent from my typewriter.

It is called quick memo and is part of the system.

On mine it is part of the top bar of the pull down notification screen.

You can swipe that bar to the left to get to the edit menu where you can customize what items appear on that bar.

edit: sorry JC. didn't see that you beat me to the punch.

It all makes sense now, thanks. I can remember disabling the feature from the drop down menu when I first got the phone. I mist have been accidentally hitting both volume buttons on occasion and turning it on.

I've given it a trial run, and it's impossible to write in cursive legibly. I suppose it may be a useful feature though...not sure if it makes up for the locked boot loader tho
